Talking about us - Delivery of Donations

Euro to the German RFDS Support Group
Till the support group received 85.780,40 Euro as donations by its great members and many honourable donators.

This equals the remarkable average amount of over 8,000 Euro per year. These donations are formed by membership fees and solitary donations.

The amount of solitary donations ranges from a few coins in the collecting-box to 5,000 Euros handed over by business enterprises. These solitary donations are not only given by the members of our support group but also by many people, companies and institutions notified by our members. By events and our internet presentation, too, many people become aware of the possibility to save lives by donating to our support group.

Donations overview        Hand over Donations

Dollars to the RFDS
Till March 2013, donations of AUS$ 113,055.00 have been handed over personally by some of our club members to the bases of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.
There are reports of these hand-over of donations. In the annual report of the treasurer in charge the way of the donations to the RFDS is documented as well. As our support group is recognized as a charitable one by German revenue-office the annual treasurer’s report is checked by the authorities.

Mike Viktor Juliet at Broken Hill

Where do the donations go?
The RFDS uses the donations to buy new airplanes and their medical equipment. A considerable part of the donations has been used to buy a new Beechcraft Kingair B200 airplane. This plane is stationed at the base of Broken Hill and carries the name “Mike-Victor-Juliet”, VH-MVJ. Many spectacular missions have already been accomplished with this plane.

Pilatus PC12 in Adelaide

At the hand-over of donations there was a brand-new Pilatus PC12 airplane in the hangar of the RFDS base at Adelaide. Technicians were equipping it with medical devices. The financial means for this equipment were still missing. Soon, after the termination of the medical equipment, this new acquisition will been given to the Central Operations (Inc.) of the RFDS and will start to its first mission.
